Kenyan women react in anger to Huddah's call for body positivity ¶
Kenyan women have taken to social media to express their anger and disappointment towards Huddah, who recently called for body positivity while also urging women to stop promoting obesity and unhealthy lifestyles.
According to Huddah, body positivity is a good thing, but it should not be used as an excuse to promote unhealthy lifestyles. She emphasized that being overweight, fat, or obese is not healthy and can lead to lifestyle diseases such as diabetes.
However, Huddah's comments have been met with anger and criticism from some Kenyan women, who feel that she is promoting obesity and unhealthy lifestyles. Some have even accused her of being hypocritical, pointing out that she is skinny while calling out others for being fat.
One Twitter user, @Syshndunge, accused Huddah of being 'not THICK but FAT!' and of insinuating that being fat is unhealthy while being skinny is healthy. Another user, @agundarachel, called for a truce, saying that both fat and skinny bodies are beautiful.
Despite the backlash, Huddah has not responded to the criticism. However, her comments have sparked a wider conversation about body positivity and the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles.
As one Twitter user, @DanielKellyTRT, pointed out, 'This is rarely discussed, but did you know that diabetics often lose their limbs and eyesight? Don't be one of those people. Seize the day instead.'
