Published on December 3, 2019, a lawsuit has been filed against Spectre International Limited, a firm linked to Raila Odinga's business empire, by over 116 former employees seeking Sh150 million in unpaid salaries.

The employees claim that the company, which has been non-operational since 2017, owes them a total of Sh73,592,868 in salary arrears, Sh31,238,187 in unpaid provident funds, and Sh11,474,727 in Sacco dues.

Additionally, the workers are seeking Sh35,669,847 in redundancy pay, which they claim the company has refused to pay despite numerous demands and notices to sue.

According to their lawyer, Moses Omondi, the company has refused to pay the claimants their dues, leaving them to suffer the consequences, including eviction from their homes due to inability to pay rent.

Justice Nduma Nderi of the Employment and Labor Relations Court in Kisumu has scheduled the case for mention on March 2, 2020.
