On November 16, a disturbing incident occurred in Tassia Estate, Embakasi, where a security officer allegedly attempted to rape his neighbor.
According to reports, the victim had gone to take a shower when the suspect, Michael Ogutu Obonyo, waylaid her inside a bathroom and attempted to force himself on her.
As the victim tried to defend herself, Obonyo allegedly assaulted her, but she was eventually rescued by her neighbors who broke into the bathroom and overpowered the suspect.
Obonyo was taken into custody and denied the charges before Principal Magistrate Stephen Jalang'o of Makadara Law Courts.
He was released on a bond of Sh 300, 000 and the case will be heard from April 3 next year.
