On December 3, 2019, the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) made a significant ruling that impacted the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) elections.
SDT chairman John Ohaga delivered the ruling, citing that there was insufficient public participation in the elections, which were set to take place on Saturday.
Furthermore, Ohaga ruled that the FKF Electoral Board was not properly constituted, as Elynah Shiveka was not eligible to sit on it.
As a result, the SDT cancelled not only the FKF elections but also the branch elections that had taken place the previous week.
