December 3, 2019, marked a significant turn of events for the Churchill Show, a popular comedy program in Kenya. Video director Jibril Blessing, better known as J Blessing, has been kicked out of the show following a disagreement with the management.

According to sources close to the production, J Blessing's issues with the management began when he demanded that his personal assistant be paid for an air ticket to Kisumu, where the show was scheduled to be filmed. The management refused, citing that the assistant was not part of the team.

"J Blessing is a gifted director, but he has issues with how he relates with people. He is petty and at times keeping up with him can be a problem," a source revealed to Nairobi News.

Despite making a comeback to the show just nine months prior, J Blessing's departure has left the production team scrambling to find a replacement. Tony Kamau has taken over as the director and editor of the Churchill Show.
