December 3, 2019, marked a dramatic turn of events for Tanzanian musician Rayvanny, as he found himself at the center of a copyright dispute over his recent song 'Naogopa'.

According to reports, an upcoming artiste identified as Riser Star released a song a year ago, which bears a striking resemblance to Rayvanny's 'Naogopa' release. Riser Star has since come forward, admitting to having 'stolen' the beats and apologizing for putting Rayvanny's name in bad light.

In an exclusive interview with Bongo 5, Riser Star revealed that he fell in love with the beats and song, and despite knowing it wasn't his, he took it up as his own. This led many to believe that the song was actually his, until Rayvanny released his version on YouTube, sparking a wave of raised eyebrows.

Rayvanny, seemingly unfazed by the incident, stated that he would have sued Riser Star if he could afford the legal charges. However, he chose not to, instead sending a word of caution to Riser Star, warning him against attempting to steal music again, as it is illegal.
