On November 27th, 2019, a report of murder was filed at Buruburu police station, vide occurrence book number 47/27/11/2019, after a man named Harrison Maina died from complications related to consuming a poisonous medicine.
According to police, the medicine was prepared by John Kaskas Sungura, a Maasai man, who was arrested the following day.
During an arraignment at Makadara court, police were granted permission to detain Sungura for two weeks to continue investigating the case.
A post-mortem examination revealed that Harrison Maina died as a result of chemical poisoning.
The matter will be mentioned in court on December 17th.
