On a fateful night in Machakos, a tuk tuk driver's illicit affair with a married woman nearly cost him his life.
Identified as Mutinda, the driver had been secretly visiting the woman in Mulolongo, often arriving after 10pm when her husband was away on night guard duty.
However, the suspicious activities did not go unnoticed by the woman's neighbours, who reported the affair to the security officer.
One neighbour in particular seemed to have been keeping close tabs on the driver, noting his frequent visits and late-night checkouts.
It was only a matter of time before the husband discovered the truth, and when he did, he was not pleased.
Armed with a fierce determination, the husband confronted the driver, who claimed he had been visiting the woman on her invitation.
Despite the driver's pleas for mercy, the husband rained down kicks and blows, leaving him battered and bruised.
It was only after some neighbours intervened that the husband relented, but not before extracting a hefty fine from the driver.
