Residents of Nairobi and its environs are set to pay more for parking their vehicles, with the county government increasing parking fees.
According to Tom Tinega, the Director of Parking in Nairobi, the new fees will be divided into three categories.
Those parking in the city center will pay KSh 400, while those in the outskirts, including Westland, Upper Hill, Community, Ngara, Highbridge, Gigiri, Kilimani Mwiki, and South B, will pay KSh 200.
Residents in areas far from the city center will pay KSh 100.
Public service vehicles that do not operate on public transport routes will pay KSh 1000.
