On December 2, 2019, Masoud Juma made a public apology to Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards fans, marking a significant step in repairing his controversial image.

The Harambee Stars forward had previously clashed with fans of the two teams, stating he would never play for them. However, in a Facebook post, Juma expressed his desire for forgiveness, attributing the incident to a 'misunderstanding'.

“A day like this two years ago I had a misunderstanding with fans especially from Gor Mahia and AFC (Leopards). It was a bad show for sure but nothing has lost. Today, I just want to ask for their forgiveness from the bottom of my heart. It happens in football,” Masoud wrote on his official Facebook page.

Since leaving Kariobangi Sharks in 2017, Juma has struggled on the pitch, playing for four teams in South Africa, the UAE, Libya, and Algeria without notable success.
