On a water-logged pitch, Zimbabwe's Luke Musikiri stole the show with a hat-trick in the Copa Coca Cola Under-16 Africa Cup match against Kenya on Monday.
Kenya's Mwinyi Nassoro scored a consolation goal in the 35th minute, but Zimbabwe's dominance was evident throughout the match.
"We had a poor start due to the wet pitch but we will definitely do better in the next match," said Kenya coach Daniel Lenjo.
Despite the loss, Kenya remains in contention for the quarter-finals, with a crucial match against Mozambique scheduled for next.
