Bandari FC, struggling to find its footing in the Kenyan Premier League, is set to strengthen its attack in the January transfer window. The team has been on a five-match winless streak, with their latest defeat coming at the hands of Tusker FC on Sunday.
According to team manager Willis Oburu, a new striker will be the solution to their woes. Oburu revealed that the coach has identified potential players, but their contracts with their respective clubs prevent them from making any announcements at this time.
Bandari FC's struggles are compounded by injuries to key players, including Yema Mwana, who is still being assessed by the team's doctors. Other players, such as Abdallah Hassan and Nkata, are nursing knocks, while Danson Chetambe and captain Felly Mulumba are recovering from illness.
The team's lack of goals is a major concern, with Wycliffe Ochomo and new signing Patrick Mughendi yet to score a goal this season. Oburu expressed hope that the team will have its injured players back for their next fixture, which is against Wazito FC at the Mbaraki Sports Club in Mombasa this Friday.
