Kenya: Kuria Wins Captain's Prize At Kiambu ¶

George Kuria, a high handicap golfer, overcame a strong challenge from 262 players to claim the overall title in the two-day Captain's Prize golf tournament at the par 72 Kiambu Golf Club course.
On the first day, Kuria carded 34 points, and he posted a similar score on the second day, totaling 68 points. He edged out former club chairman Fredrick Njeru Njagi, who won the men's title with 67 points.
Other notable winners included Joyce Wanjiru, who clinched the ladies title with 67 points, beating Jane Kanyi by four points, and Michael Karanga, who took the gross title with a total of 157 gross.
At Windsor, John Evans carded 35 points to claim the men's title in the Johnnie Walker golf title, which also doubled as the Captain's Prize (Evans Nyaga). Jawad Jaffer came in second with 33 points, beating Reagan Kubugu on countback.
At Nyali Golf and Country Club, Fernando Marques carded an excellent score of 42 points to win the overall title in the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) golf tournament. Niran Hirani won the men's title with 42 points, while Gladys Mutisya took the ladies title with 36 points.

- At Ruiru Golf Club: Isaac Githinji won the KRA Golf Day with 44 points, while Patrick Karoki took the men's title with 40 points.
- At Limuru Country Club: David Ndungu's team won the KenGen Golf Day with 133 points, and Wambui Nderitu took the individual overall title with 41 points.
- At Thika Sports Club: Nicholas Kabare won the NCBA Golf Day with 37 points, and Anastacia Karimi took the ladies title with 34 points.
- At Muthaiga: Evans Vitisia won the Peter Githua Foundation Golf with 37 points, and Rose Koome took the ladies title with 32 points.
- At Karen: Asif Sheikh won the Unclaimed Financial Assets Authority Golf Tournament with 41 points, and Henezi Atiko took the junior title with 34 points.
- At Kenya Railway Golf Club: Lydia Otieno won the Lady Captain's Prize with 31 points, and Sammy Gichomo took the men's title with 43 points.
- At Thika Greens Resort: David Githinji won the Inter-Schools Alumni Golf Day with 41 points, and Agnes Githinji took the ladies title with 31 points.
