Rayvanny, a Tanzanian singer, has found himself at the center of a plagiarism controversy. An upcoming artist, Riser Stardia, has accused Rayvanny of stealing his song, 'Naogopa.'
According to Riser Stardia, Rayvanny committed the infringement knowingly, without giving him due credit. The two songs share the same name and similar lyrics.
Rayvanny has responded to the allegations, stating that he created the song in 2014, before joining Diamond Platnumz' label. He claims that he re-recorded the song this year and Riser Stardia copied his version and shot a music video.
Rayvanny also shared a clip of himself listening to the song with friends in 2014, further supporting his claim.
The song appears to address the controversy surrounding Rayvanny's love life, which has been in the spotlight following break-up rumors with his wife.
