On Sunday, three more suspects were arrested in connection with the brutal murder of Rai cement factory manager Chetan Vyas, which occurred in September this year.

The three suspects include Julius Odundo Jowi, a carpenter at Rai Cement Company, Joseph Mureithi, a former Security Guard at Comply Company Nakuru, and Steve Odhiambo, an operator at Comply Company.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the three were captured by CCTV at the scene of the murder, with the clothes they allegedly wore during the incident recovered from their houses.

Other items recovered include two mobile phones reportedly used to communicate at the scene, an iron box, a briefcase belonging to the deceased, and an axe suspected to be the murder weapon.

The three suspects are set to be presented in court on Monday.

Mr. Vyas was found brutally murdered inside his bedroom at his home located within the Rai factory premises in Sigowet/Soin Sub-county, Kericho County.

His body was discovered with his hands and legs bound with a rope that was also tied around his neck.

At least six other suspects have since been arrested in connection with the killing.
