Exim Bank Expands into Ethiopia

December 2, 2019, marked a significant milestone for Exim Bank Group as it opened its first office in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This achievement makes Exim Bank the first Tanzanian commercial bank to be granted an operational license in Ethiopia, courtesy of its Djibouti subsidiary.

With its presence in Ethiopia, Exim Bank now has a footprint in five African countries, including Tanzania, the Union of the Comoros, Djibouti, and Uganda.

According to Exim Bank's Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jaffari Matundu, the Commercial Representative Office is expected to be fully operational by December 2019 at the Zouleka LKG Building, 2nd floor, Sub City Bole, 2160/B. Addis Ababa.

Exim Bank is a commercial bank in Tanzania, licensed by the Bank of Tanzania, the country's central bank and national banking regulator.
