Top Cop's Puzzling Hoodie in Court: Trial of Murdered Journalist

On December 2, 2019, a dramatic scene unfolded in a Siaya court as Chief Inspector Sabina Kerubo, a senior police officer, was arraigned in connection with the murder of journalist Eric Oloo.

What caught the attention of the court was the hoodie Kerubo wore, which bore the words #Biggie #Brooklyn #WhoShotYa #FNTY. The hoodie was inspired by the song 'Who Shot Ya' by the late Notorious B.I.G.

According to reports, Kerubo was not required to take a plea as the prosecution requested that she be detained for 14 days to enable the police complete investigations.

Eric Oloo, a 40-year-old journalist who worked as a correspondent for The Star Newspaper in Siaya, was found murdered. Kerubo's arraignment marks the third suspect to be brought before the court in connection with Oloo's murder.

The lyrics of 'Who Shot Ya' by Notorious B.I.G. are a reflection of the song's themes of violence and crime.
