CS Amina Mohamed faced a hostile crowd at the Koroga festival event on Sunday, December 1, 2019.
As she attempted to address the revelers, who were waiting for performances by Congolese maestros Mbilia Bel and Kanda Bongoman, the crowd turned on her.
‘Are you having fun? Unless you answer me, I won’t stop talking!’ she said, but her words fell on deaf ears as the angry crowd booed her.
She was eventually forced to leave the stage, allowing the artistes to entertain their fans.
Reactions from Kenyans on social media included calls for her to be booed louder, with some questioning her presence at the event.
