On December 2, 2019, Masoud Juma's public apology to Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards fans marked a significant step towards repairing his controversial image.
The Harambee Stars forward had previously clashed with fans of the two teams, stating he would never consider playing for them.
However, in a Facebook post, Juma apologized for his past actions, stating, 'A day like this two years ago I had a misunderstanding with fans especially from Gor Mahia and AFC (Leopards). It was a bad show for sure but nothing has lost. Today, I just want to ask for their forgiveness from the bottom of my heart. It happens in football.'
Since leaving Kariobangi Sharks in 2017, Juma has struggled on the pitch, playing for several teams including Cape Town City, Dibba El Fujairah, Al Nasr, and JS Kabyile, without notable success.
