On December 2, 2019, Tanga Tanga allied MPs expressed their displeasure with Farouk Kibet, the Personal Assistant to Deputy President William Ruto, over the recent reduction in their allowances.

The MPs, including Charles Jaguar, John Kiarie, and Didmus Barasa, stated that they were not impressed with the manner in which the allowances were handled, citing massive reductions in the figures that existed before.

They called on Kibet to provide a clear explanation for the reductions, warning that they would take legal action if a satisfactory reason was not given.

The lawmakers criticized Kibet for malice, describing him as a leader who had transformed into a tyrant, and faulted him for conspiring against them to have their allowances reduced.

They emphasized that the incident had sparked bitterness in them and insisted that Kibet must be held accountable for the reduced allowances.
