On November 30, Kenyan singer Akothee stunned her fans when she collapsed on stage during Luo Night performance.
According to eyewitnesses, the mother of five was in high spirits before the incident, singing her heart out and interacting with her fans.
However, without warning, she went silent and fell backwards into the arms of her backup dancers.
Her crew quickly whisked her away from the stage and tried to get her to safety.
Just days before, Akothee had been discharged from hospital after suffering a burnout following her world tour.
She had been to the US, Dubai, and France within a short period, and her body could not push itself beyond its limits.
Despite suffering from a slight flu, Akothee's health had improved greatly by the time she was released from hospital.
However, it seems her body was not yet ready for the demands of performing.
