Published on December 2, 2019, Kate Actress, a Kenyan actress, has spoken out about the idea of 'couple goals' in marriage, suggesting that it's often overrated and unrealistic.

According to Kate, who is expecting her second child with her supportive partner, having a perfect marriage is not as easy as it seems on social media. She believes that many people, including celebrities, put on a perfect facade to hide their real-life struggles.

Among the couples often considered 'couple goals' are Kabi wa Jesus and Millie wa Jesus, Nameless and Wahu, Sarah Kabu and Simon Kabu, and Kate Actress's own partner, Phil Karanja. However, Kate feels that these couples are not as perfect as they seem.

She took to her social media platform to express her views, saying, 'Ours is a very normal relationship, I keep saying couple goals 'manyoya' because Marriage is work and it's a journey. Treasure and nourish yours.'

Kate also cautioned against envying others, especially those whose lives and careers are in the public eye. She noted that everyone's marriage has its highs and lows, and that it's essential to focus on one's own relationship rather than comparing it to others.

Despite her skepticism about 'couple goals,' Kate expressed her gratitude for having a supportive partner and acknowledged the blessings of marriage. She ended her post with a message of love and appreciation for her followers, saying, 'Bu it feels super amazing to have someone to go through life with, it's a blessing from God actually. That been said, may God Bless you and yours peeps ASANTENI??❤️.'
