On Saturday, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko left Kenyans stunned after sharing images of his lavishly decorated dining room on Facebook.
The 27 pictures showcased the expansive room, which appears to be designed to impress, with gold-plated furniture and multiple flat-screen TVs adorning the walls.
While Sonko's fans were quick to praise the luxurious setup, others couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, with one commenter noting, 'Thank you, my Governor, but it is not wise to pour food as the hungry watch.'
As the debate continues over the source of Sonko's wealth, the Governor remains tight-lipped, insisting that he worked hard to amass his fortune, despite ongoing allegations of underhand dealings at the Nairobi County government.
