On a soggy course due to ongoing rains, Lydia Otieno, a skilled golfer with a handicap of 26, showcased her exceptional skills at the Kenya Railways Golf Club Lady Captain Prize tournament on November 30, 2019.
Organized by the Kenya Railways Golf Club, with the support of AA Kenya, NAS Airport Services, K-Link, Meraki, Parapet, Farmers Choice, Bio Foods, and friends of the Lady Captain, the event drew a massive field of 116 golfers.
Otieno's impressive performance earned her the top spot with 31 stableford points, relegating Ruth Omwansa, playing off handicap 23, to the second position among the ladies.
Other notable winners included Mildred Malubi, who secured the third position with 31 stableford points, and Eunice Kilonzo, who finished fourth with the same score.
Guest Lady winner Elizabeth Ngethe took home the prize with 38 stableford points, while Naomi Wakesho finished second with 30 stableford points.
Limuru Golf and Country Club's Collins Nzioka emerged as the best male guest golfer with 33 stableford points, and Sammy Gichomo won the Men winner prize with 43 stableford points.
