TECNO Spark 4 Review ¶

The TECNO Spark 4 is a mid-range smartphone that's part of a long line of devices from the company. It's available in two models: the Spark 4 and the Spark 4 Air, with prices starting at KES. 11,999 and KES. 10,000 respectively.
One of the standout features of the Spark 4 is its large 6.52-inch display. While it may seem big at first, it's actually quite normal to use, especially when compared to other devices on the market. The quality of the screen is good, with colors that are not bad, although brightness outdoors can be an issue.
Another notable feature of the Spark 4 is its triple cameras. While I didn't get a chance to review them in detail, I can say that they seem to be an improvement over the dual cameras on the Spark 3 Pro. However, the camera review is a separate article, so I'll leave it for you to check out.
One of the things that I'm not a fan of is the design of the Spark 4. It's the same design that we've seen on literally all Transsion phones this year, and it's starting to get a bit boring. I mean, I get it, companies want to make their devices look consistent, but it's just not exciting to see the same design over and over again.
On the software side, the Spark 4 runs on HiOS, which is a custom skin on top of Android. While I've complained about HiOS in the past, I'll leave it for you to decide whether or not it's a good thing. One thing that I do hope to see is the Spark 4 getting Android 10 soon, especially since the Spark 3 Pro is already receiving it.
Finally, let's talk about the battery. The Spark 4 has a large 4000mAh battery, which makes a big difference in terms of battery life. I was able to use it for a whole day and some more, which is impressive considering the size of the battery.
Overall, the TECNO Spark 4 is a solid mid-range smartphone that's worth considering. While it may not be the most exciting device on the market, it's a good option for those who want a reliable device with a good camera and a large battery.
