Watford have parted ways with manager Quique Sanchez Flores after a dismal run of form that has left the club struggling in the Premier League.

The 54-year-old Spaniard was appointed in June 2019, but has failed to deliver the results expected of him, with the Hornets winning just two games in 12 Premier League matches.

According to reports, Chris Hughton is set to take over as manager, with the former Brighton boss reportedly being lined up to replace Flores at Vicarage Road.

Flores' tenure was marked by a series of disappointing results, including a 2-0 defeat to Burnley and a 2-1 loss to Southampton.

Despite winning the Carabao Cup tie against Swansea, Flores' failure to deliver in the Premier League has ultimately cost him his job.

He becomes the third Premier League manager to lose their job this season, following Mauricio Pochettino and Unai Emery.

Watford are currently 20th in the Premier League table, with just eight points from 14 matches.
