On December 1, 2019, a devastating flood hit four villages in Voi, Taita Taveta County, leaving hundreds of residents homeless.
More than 20 homesteads in Kaloleni, Tanzania, Msambweni, and Gimba villages were affected after River Voi burst its banks following overnight rains.
Rescue teams from the Kenya Red Cross rushed to the scene to help affected residents salvage their belongings.
Locals are now calling on the government to provide basic needs to the affected families, who lost their entire belongings in the disaster.
