Simba Sports Club, one of Tanzania's top football clubs, is on the hunt for a new coach following the dismissal of Patrick Aussems, who was accused of poor performance and indiscipline.
The Croatian coach Zdravko Logarusic, who was recently sacked as coach of the Sudan national team, is reportedly a top contender for the vacant coaching role at Simba Sports Club.
Logarusic was dismissed as Sudan's coach after failing to lead the team to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt and the 2020 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in Cameroon.
He is not the only contender for the job, however, as French coach Didier Gomes is also being considered for the position.
Gomes has a impressive coaching record, having led Rwanda's Rayon Sport to the league title and Cameroon's Coton Sport to the semis of the Caf Confederation Cup.
He has also managed Guinea's Horoya, a side he led to the group stage of the 2019/2020 Caf Confederation Cup.
Simba Sports Club, which is home to former Gor Mahia stars Meddie Kagere and Francis Kahata, is currently leading the Tanzania Premier League standings after 10 rounds of matches.
