On December 1, 2019, the Africa Youth Trust launched a nationwide campaign to engage the youth on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report.
The campaign, dubbed the Youth BBI Report Engagement Initiative, aims to ensure that all youth in the country have access to, understand, and engage with the report's contents.
According to Ruth Ambogo, governance manager at Africa Youth Trust, the ultimate goal of the initiative is to enable the youth to make informed decisions about the BBI report.
The campaign will utilize various media platforms, including social media, Facebook Live discussions, mainstream media, and town hall forums, to reach the wider society.
Africa Youth Trust provided technical support to youth networks and formations during the collection of public views by the BBI taskforce, which ultimately presented a unified proposal to the taskforce at KICC on August 7, 2019.
