Published on December 1, 2019, Akothee's latest health scare occurred during the Luo Festival, where she collapsed on stage at around 1 a.m.

According to reports, the incident happened barely a week after she was hospitalized for fatigue, which doctors had diagnosed her with.

Her performance was brought to a halt as she collapsed, leaving fans and organizers concerned about her well-being.

Responding to the incident on Facebook, Akothee said, 'This life, you can only occupy one bed at a time, bloggers don't scare my family and fans, I am not dead! My system just shut down, I will be back.'

Her manager, Nelly Oaks, had previously issued a statement explaining that Akothee had to cancel her performance at the One Africa Music Festival in New York in March 2018 due to fatigue.

At the time, Oaks said, 'Good morning, due to public demand, first I apologize for all our fans in NYC, sorry we couldn't make it past the airport as our vibrant lady got energy burn out.'
