Published on December 1, 2019, Arsenal's search for a new manager has hit a snag after Mauricio Pochettino was reportedly told to snub the Gunners' job offer.

The Argentine, who spent five years at Tottenham Hotspur before being sacked, has been tipped as Unai Emery's replacement following the Spaniard's departure on November 29.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Pochettino's friends and family members have cautioned him against taking the job, advising him to take a break and rest instead.

They reportedly assured him that he can land a better job in the future, given his links with Manchester United and Barcelona.

Pochettino's recent stint at Tottenham ended in controversy, with the club's championship spirit diminishing following an alleged internal crisis.

He guided the team to their first Champions League final, where they lost to Liverpool at Wanda Metropolitan Stadium.
