Kenya Wins Big at 26th Annual World Travel Awards ¶
Kenya emerged victorious at the 26th Annual World Travel Awards, held at the prestigious Royal Opera House Muscat in Oman on November 28th, 2019.
The World Travel Awards recognizes and rewards excellence across the global travel and tourism industry.
Kenya stole the show, winning over 30 awards in various categories, including Africa's leading destination, beating out rivals Madagascar, South Africa, and Egypt.
The capital city, Nairobi, was named Africa's leading Business Travel destination, while Kenya Airways took home two awards for being Africa's leading Airline in Economy and Business class.
Other notable winners included Diani Beach, which emerged as Africa's leading Beach Destination, and Destination Kenya, named as Africa's leading Destination Management company.
Leopard Beach Resort & Spa was awarded Africa's leading family resort, while its residences were named Africa's leading hotel Residences.

- Kenya Tourism Board - Africa's leading Tourist Board
Kenya has also been chosen as the venue for the World Travel Awards Africa and Indian Ocean ceremonies in 2020.
