2 Police Officers Arrested in Eastleigh Carjacking Incident

Published on December 1, 2019

Two police officers, Ali Shukri Galgalo and Abdikadir Daiwo, were dramatically arrested in Eastleigh after a botched carjacking incident involving an Uber driver.

The incident began when the two officers called an Uber to take them to Pangani, but instead of paying the driver, they turned against him and forced him into the backseat.

However, their plot was brought to an end after the speeding vehicle crashed along the way, and the officers attempted to escape on foot.

They were quickly apprehended and taken into custody.

According to a statement from the DCI, the vehicle crashed at Kilimanjaro roundabout, forcing the officers to attempt to escape on foot but were quickly arrested.

The two officers are currently in legal police custody and will be arraigned in court on Monday.
