Didmus Baraza Threatens to Repaint ODM Offices in Bungoma ¶
Didmus Baraza, a Member of Parliament for Kimilili, has threatened to repaint the offices of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) in Bungoma County if his missing hat is not returned within three days.
According to Baraza, he had given the ODM leadership three days to return his hat, which was taken by a group of ODM youth during the Kibra by-election.
Baraza had been wearing the hat during the campaign period, and it was taken from him by the youth who were supporting his opponent, Simba Arati.
Junet Mohammed, the ODM Director of Elections, had earlier claimed to have returned the hat to Baraza, but the MP denied this, saying that the hat had not been returned.
Baraza had earlier stated that he had many hats, each costing KSh 5,000, and that he would repaint the ODM offices in Bungoma if his hat was not returned within the stipulated time.
