Gor Mahia's title hopes were dealt a blow after being held to a 0-0 draw by Ulinzi Stars in Kisumu on December 1, 2019. The result denied the record champions a chance to open a seven-point lead at the top of the Kenyan Premier League.

Ulinzi Stars' draw kept them third in the standings, seven points behind the leaders. Meanwhile, AFC Leopards twice came from behind to share the spoils with Nzoia Sugar in a 2-2 draw in Mumias.

Reagan Otieno inspired KCB to a 5-2 victory over Kariobangi Sharks at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi, scoring a brace and proving why he has been given a national team Harambee Stars call-up.

Simon Munala broke the deadlock in the eighth minute, but Sharks took the lead through Duke Abuya and Julius Masaba. Otieno equalized on the half hour mark, and KCB regained the lead through Samuel Mwangi and Enoch Agwanda.

Otieno grabbed his second of the day in the 75th minute, and KCB went level on 18 points with Ulinzi and Tusker. In Machakos, Elvis Rupia bagged a hat-trick in Wazito's 6-0 thrashing of Chemelil Sugar.
