On November 30, 2019, Vihiga Queens were crowned champions of the Women Premier League in a thrilling finale at the Kitale Stadium in Vihiga.

The team's impressive performance earned them 70 points, with a season's goal tally of 78, after defeating Tranzoia Falcons 2-1 in their final match.

Season's top scorer Teresa Engesha scored the opening goal in the first half, stretching her season tally to 36 and securing the Golden Boot award.

Speaking after the match, Vihiga Queens coach Alex Alumira congratulated the team and the technical staff for their hard work and dedication.

He also warned title rivals to prepare for an even tougher challenge in the next season.

Dr. Patrick Saisi, Vihiga County Deputy Governor, congratulated the team and challenged them to maintain their momentum.

As a reward for their heroics, the team was treated to an evening party at the Nest Hotel in Vihiga, courtesy of Citizen Digital Sports and Vuuka FM.
