Barcelona's France forward Ousmane Dembele has been dealing with fitness troubles throughout his career, and the latest chapter in this saga has seen him ruled out for over two months with a hamstring injury.
On November 27, 2019, the Catalan club announced that Dembele, 22, would be sidelined for approximately 10 weeks after injuring his right hamstring in a Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.
Dembele's injury woes began during his debut season at Barcelona in 2017-2018, when he suffered a hamstring problem that required surgery and kept him out for more than five months.
Despite signing for Barcelona from Dortmund in 2017 for 105 million euros ($115.73 million), Dembele has struggled to maintain a consistent presence on the pitch, making only five starts in all competitions this term.
As a result, he will miss next month's 'Clasico' against Real Madrid and the revamped Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia in January.
