On a thrilling Saturday afternoon at Kasarani Stadium, KCB FC secured a resounding 5-2 victory over Kariobangi Sharks, propelling them seven positions up on the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) log.
Reagan Otieno, the KCB FC talisman, stole the show with a brace, while Simon Abuko opened the score sheet with a stunning shot. However, Sharks quickly netted two successive goals, leaving the scores tied at 2-2 at halftime.
Undeterred, KCB FC launched a fierce second-half assault, with Enock Agwanda curling home a superb shot to net the bankers' third goal. Samuel Mwangi soon followed suit, netting the fourth goal, and Otieno sealed the deal with the fifth goal.
KCB FC President Mr. Paul Russo praised the squad's achievement, emphasizing the need for consistency in the remaining matches. 'We have to be consistent in the remaining matches, the squad has what it takes to challenge for major honours this season,' Russo said.
The win sees KCB FC move into second position behind league leaders Gor Mahia. The team will face Post Rangers on Sunday at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
