On November 30, 2019, the Cana Zone 3 swimming championships came to a close at the Kasarani Aquatics Centre in Nairobi, Kenya.

The event, which featured nine countries including hosts Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Sudan, and Burundi, served as a crucial preparation ground for swimmers ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Kenya emerged victorious in the medal standings, with swimmers Islam Ali Lubaina, Hart Ivan, and Tabuka Bifwoli securing gold medals in the final day of the championships.
