The Pishi Indo-Chinese Food Expo, a celebration of Indian and Chinese culture and cuisine, has kicked off at Westgate Mall in Nairobi, running from Friday to Sunday.
Organized by Nation Media Group, the expo aims to showcase the rich culinary heritage of the Indian and Chinese communities living in Kenya.
On the first day, guests were treated to a variety of delicacies, including seafood and vegetarian dishes, as well as Chinese tea.
Traditional dances from both countries were also on display, including the mesmerizing face-changing dance from China.
The event was officially launched by Chinese Ambassador to Kenya Wu Peng, High Commissioner of India Rahul Chabra, and NMG Group Chief Executive Officer Stephen Gitagama.
Some of the vendors participating in the expo include Xiang Restaurant, Chinya Tea, Hui Chinese Restaurant, Haandi, and Mr Yao, among others.
The expo is a step towards showcasing the diverse cultures of Kenya's international community to visitors.
Among the delicacies on display are various types of Dum Sum, including Chicken Char Sieu, Shiminya, Shrimp ravioli, and Taro Rolls.
