Mystery of Missing KCPE Marker Solved ¶
Moses Odumbe, a teacher from Homa Bay County, was found in Nairobi on November 26, 2019, after going missing during the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam-marking period.
Odumbe, who was marking exams at St. George's Girls' High School, allegedly switched off his phones after reaching the marking centre in Nairobi and was unreachable for 18 days.
His wife, Joyce Odumbe, said her husband arrived in Nairobi on November 9 and met a relative, but later left for his hotel room and was unreachable.
According to a well-placed source within the DCI, Odumbe revealed that he had been staying at a hotel in Nairobi throughout the exam-marking period and would often drink alcohol in the evenings.
Odumbe was taken to Kamukunji Police Station, where he requested a phone to call his relatives, and was later taken to Nairobi Women's Hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Odumbe's disappearance.
