On a heartwarming Thanksgiving surprise, a waitress at a Denny's restaurant in Galveston, Texas, received a brand new 2011 Nissan Sentra.
According to reports, Adrianna Edwards, who walked over four hours to and from work, was gifted the car by a couple she had served at the restaurant.
"I have bills to pay. I've got to eat. You've got to do what you've got to do," Edwards told CNN affiliate KTRK.
Before the surprise, Edwards' daily commute was a grueling five-hour walk, but the new car will now turn that into a mere 30-minute commute.
The couple, who wished to remain anonymous, were moved by Edwards' story and decided to take action.
They finished their meal, left the restaurant, and returned with the keys to the new car, asking Edwards to pay the good deed forward.
Edwards plans to do just that, saying, "I still feel like I'm dreaming. Every two hours, I come look out my window and see if there's still a car there. When I see somebody in need, I'll probably be more likely to help them out to do everything that I can to help them out,"
With her new car, Edwards hopes to start college earlier than she thought, and her story serves as a reminder of the kindness and generosity that exists in the world.
