Published on November 30, 2019, Bandari coach Bernard Mwalala is confident that his team will overcome their current struggles and return to their winning ways.
With a record of three losses and one draw in November, the team is currently 12th on the league log with nine points from nine matches.
However, coach Mwalala remains optimistic, citing the team's overall performance this season. "We have only lost four matches so far this season, and even though we are going through a bad phase, I don’t think it should be a cause for concern – this will soon be over," he said in an interview with Nation Sport.
He also pointed out that even the league champions experience setbacks and difficult times. "November has been such a month for us, but we are working hard to get back to our winning ways," he added.
Coach Mwalala has also addressed speculation surrounding his potential move to Tanzanian giants Yanga SC. "One of the bosses approached me and I know I am one of the four coaches shortlisted, but at the moment, my focus is solely with Bandari. Nothing concrete has been discussed with Yanga and I don’t understand why it is making headlines," he said.
Bandari will face third-placed Tusker at Ruaraka on Sunday afternoon, but will be without five key players due to illness and injury.
