Senator Olekina Vows to Challenge KPC MD Appointment Over Tribalism

Narok Senator Ledama Olekina has vowed to challenge the appointment of Dr Macharia Irungu as the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) managing director, citing tribalism and hypocrisy in the government's push for inclusivity.

Senator Olekina, who is also a member of the ODM party, said the appointment was a clear indication that the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) has failed to address inclusivity and will never help heal the country.

He claimed that the appointment of Dr Irungu was flawed and tribal, and that the board of KPC has 4 Kikuyus out of 9 members, which he described as a clear case of tribalism.

Senator Olekina also criticized the government for hypocrisy in promoting inclusivity while practicing tribalism in the appointment of state jobs.
