Published on November 30, 2019, a shocking incident emerged in Mwingi, Kitui County, where a Kenyan pastor is accused of defiling and impregnating over 20 girls.
The pastor, whose identity remains unknown, allegedly lured the girls to his sanctuary under the pretense of praying for them but ended up preying on them.
Parents of the affected girls claimed that their children were drugged before being sexually assaulted by the pastor.
Confirming the incident, Mwingi Sub-county OCPD Peter Mutuma stated that over 10 missing girls were rescued from rental houses neighboring the pastor's house.
Although the pastor managed to escape, his wife was arrested as investigations into the matter continue.
Police are now hunting down the pastor to face the law, and OCPD Mutuma appealed to parents to be vigilant and watch out for the kind of people their children interact with, especially during the long holiday season.
