Published on November 30, 2019, a video of Pastor Susan Munene of Overcomers Hope Ministries went viral after she encouraged couples to 'twa twa' (have sex) at a recent seminar.
According to the video, Pastor Munene told couples that sex is the only game created by God, and that she and her husband, Pastor Joseph Munene, engage in the act anywhere.
She was quoted as saying, “Kama kuna kitu inatufanya tukue kitu kimoja na pastor is sex. We can have sex anywhere. Garini twa twa, kitchen twa twa, everywhere [If there’s one thing that keeps me and pastor together, it’s sex…In the car twa twa, kitchen twa twa],”
Local artists Victor Uty and Ochungulo Family jumped on the trend and released songs titled 'Twa twa.'
While some people supported Pastor Munene's comments, others expressed mixed reactions, with some even expressing interest in joining her church.
