On November 30, 2019, Ghanaian transgender Angel Maxine spoke with Okay FM about her journey to becoming a woman.

Maxine, born as Maxwell Okyere Opoku, revealed that she had been hiding her true identity since childhood, only deciding to own her sexuality and personality at the age of 32.

Despite being born as a male, Maxine has been living as a woman for several years, pursuing a course in Food Safety and Nutrition at the University of Ghana and later at the Regional Maritime University.

Maxine's story is a testament to the complexities of gender identity and the importance of self-acceptance.
