On November 30, 2019, Priscah Chemutai Bet, the mother of Deputy President William Ruto's 14-year-old daughter, Abby, revealed her struggles in providing for her child's education expenses.

According to Priscah, Abby scored 406 marks in the 2019 KCPE exams, making her eligible for secondary education. However, Priscah expressed her distress over the high cost of school fees, stating, 'School fees alone is hectic to raise making me distressed.'

Priscah further alleged that Deputy President Ruto has been providing financial support for Abby, but his assistance is insufficient. She claimed that when she requested KSh 250,000 for Abby's education expenses, Ruto sent the money in five transactions of KSh 50,000 each via M-PESA and then remained silent.

Priscah has now decided to take legal action against Deputy President Ruto, seeking a Benz car and security for her daughter's education.
