Monicah Nyambura Sued by Ex-Fiancé Over Ksh. 100,000 Debt

Monicah Nyambura, a social media personality, has found herself in a financial dispute with her ex-fiancé Adrian Kibai. The two were once a high-profile couple, but their breakup sent shockwaves on social media.

According to court papers filed by Kibai through F.N & Brian Advocates, Nyambura allegedly failed to pay back a Ksh. 100,000 loan he lent her in two installments of Ksh. 70,000 and Ksh. 30,000 respectively on July 18, 2019.

In a tweet, Kibai explained that he had to take the bold move of posting the notice online because reason and civility in the matter had proven impossible.

Where reason and civility have failed, I hope justice will prevail. Your fave would sooner drag someone for a paltry 4k or so but would rather snake on money loaned in good faith. pic.twitter.com/hmPddEmfu6 — Kibaedrian (@Ongwenyi_Kibai) November 30, 2019

Netizens have been reacting to the news, with some siding with Kibai and others questioning his decision to take the matter to social media.
