Justice Agrrey Muchelule has directed that the case be heard in February next year, giving beneficiaries more time to file additional affidavits based on findings from a recent site visit.

The site visit, which took place on Thursday, revealed that some of Mbiyu Koinange's children had developed portions of the estate, including a resort built by his daughter Lennah on an 88-acre portion.

Contrary to claims by some beneficiaries that the remaining 240 acres of the estate was undeveloped, the judge confirmed that some of Koinange's children had put up multi-million shilling developments which risked going to waste if disposed of during distribution.

Originally, the estate was 690 acres, but 200 acres was sold to the Aga Khan Foundation, 100 acres to Centum Investments Ltd, which owns Two Rivers Mall, and other parcels sold to other organizations, leaving the estate with 240 acres.
